We hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving! With Christmas around the corner, we want to take this brief break between to remind you that there are FIVE Life Marches across Louisiana in January covering all regions of the state. Please be sure to join us at one of our locations!

Our 2024 theme "Here for Her" shares that the pro-life community and the state of Louisiana is ready to support every pregnant and parenting woman regardless of the circumstances she may be facing. We know that women considering abortion are often under immense pressure, or even coercion, by partners, friends or loved ones, and resort to the dangerous RU-496 abortion regimen online through black-market distributors. They need to know that there is support across Louisiana in the form of private and public agencies. In January, we can let Louisiana know that we are here for women!

If you are in Acadiana, please know we are co-sponsoring the Festival de la Vie and walk hosted by the Diocese of Lafayette on Saturday January 13th.

While we have a lot to be thankful for in Louisiana, from recent pro-life victories to over 10,000 babies being protected from abortion since Roe's reversal. But we know we must continue showing up for women. Flyers for each march are now available on our website and we hope to see you there!

At our 2024 Proudly Pro-Life Gala on January 13th, we will honor two phenomenal ministries, All God's Babies, a ministry of the Monday Night Disciples, and Compassionate Burials for Indigent Babies (CBIB). Both ministries offer burials for babies lost by abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and more. 

Lise Naccari from CBIB recently shared with us a story of a Spanish woman who went to a pregnancy center believing it was an abortion clinic after finding out her baby had anencephaly, a condition where the child is born without some or all of their brain.

At the pregnancy center the woman spoke with an interpreter that helped her process the news and consider a pro-life option. Lise said, "The interpreter was very kind and compassionate to the woman and asked her why don't you just wait and [allow her pregnancy to take course]. She decided to do that, and then, in her 8th month of pregnancy, the baby did die in her womb. CBIB provided a free funeral which gave the mother closure." We can't wait to honor Lise as well as All God's Babies Founder Don Sampey!

Our annual Geaux Forth rally in Washington, D.C. will be held Thursday, January 18th, 2024, the day before the national March for Life. We are so excited for you to join us, celebrating the largest group of youth from any state to attend the March for Life. Expect great music, good company, and the Louisiana joie de vivre while you’re here. We are from the great state of Louisiana, after all! Space is limited, so register now!

On Tuesday, December 19th, please join us in New Orleans for our Love Life Luncheon featuring Tara and Mike Wicker from our Black Advocates for Life team.

In Louisiana, numerous pregnancy resource centers participate in the Alternatives to Abortion (ATA) program administered by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services that is funded through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program funds.

Our winter edition of The Luminary is out featuring Jeff Landry's pro-life story and the recent election! To get a copy become a Luminary member for any donation over $25. These come out four times each year and highlight the work we are doing across the state.
