SUNDAYS
Too Busy to Be Happy?
Everyone is so busy these days--but what are we busy doing? Juggling everything all at once can sometimes drain us of our energy which can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and resentment. In this series, we'll learn how to let go of the mental habits that can lead to monotony and routine in our lives. We can then replace even our most stubborn tendencies with profoundly beneficial ways of thinking and that lead to lasting peace and happiness.

Open to all. Walk-ins always welcome.

How Peaceful Can You Get?

Living Your Happiest Life: The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life
A Bodhisattva is a friend of the world, who, moved by compassion trains in the six perfections: giving, moral discipline, patience, joyful effort, concentration, and wisdom. We aspire to improve ourselves to our highest level so we can help others. Training in kindness gives us the energy and inspiration we need for our own happiness and the ability to be of great benefit to others in our life.
In this series, we’ll learn practical advice on how to engage in the Bodhisattva’s way of life and to integrate greater empathy and kindness into our daily life.
Open to all. Walk-ins always welcome.

SATURDAY WORKSHOP
Spring Cleaning for the Mind: Uncovering the Wisdom Within

 A Special Half Day Workshop
with teacher Lynda Rice

Saturday March 16th
2 Sessions: 10:00-11:15
11:45-1:00
$15 for both sessions, $10 for single session

Just as we can learn to physically clear away clutter and debris, we can learn to gently allow the mental clutter, the barrage of chatter and distraction within our own minds, to dissolve and thereby experience the peace and wisdom that naturally resides there. When we can quiet the thoughts, we can find a place of refuge within our own heart. We will have the space we need to respond to life's difficult situations in a more beneficial and constructive way.

This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
Prayers and Buddhist Practices
PUJAS (Chanted Prayers)
Pujas (chanted prayers) are an important component of training in a spiritual life. They help us to still our mind and connect with enlightened energy.
All of our prayers and meditation practices are recited in English with CD accompaniment. These chanted prayer practices are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced practitioners.
All pujas are free of charge.

Questions are welcomed, and the class concludes with another guided meditation, helping us to take to heart any insight, inspiration, or advice we wish to apply. No pre-registration or prior experience necessary to attend our weekly classes.
