Our forecast in the Treasure Coast area is bright and sunny --with residential and commercial sales continuing at a brisk pace. Sales are continuing despite residential and commercial mortgage rates spiking. Residential rates are between 6.87 and 7.0% right now.
National sales data has told us that prices increased by 75% over the last 5 years in Florida, so from roughly 2018 to 2022 that rising market occurred. We are now seeing a leveling of pricing, but sales are continuing. Rental rates have continued to rise, and that too might be driving the market of home buyers and building purchasers. In some cases it is more affordable to pay a mortgage than rent.
All in all -- it is a fantastic time to invest in the Indian River, St Lucie, Martin or Brevard county areas ---which comprise the Treasure Coast market. There is a wide array of home styles and pricing and so many natural amenities --which make living and working here --spectacular!
