Recap: Volunteer Appreciation Event

On Thursday, March 7 th   our President Julia Murphy, the VP of Membership, Jim Litsas and PMINYC Toastmasters President Jessica DeSouza invited the PMINYC Volunteers to an appreciation event. This networking event included a pizza dinner and time for the volunteers to network and mingle.

Jim Litsas opened up the meeting by welcoming us to the event. He introduced Jessica DeSouza who presented a 10-minute speech that highlighted the skills and tips Toastmasters share with its members to becoming better speakers. Jessica passed the baton to Julia who presented us with a well-prepared speech on the PMINYC 2019 initiatives.

Jim then opened up the room to let volunteers from each group give a short summary of their responsibilities. It was a great opportunity for the us to meet and share ideas with each other. Jim and Julia both shared their appreciation for the contributions of the volunteers and how our efforts are what make the PMINYC chapter so vibrant.
