March is National Craft Month

Will you be celebrating National Craft Month in your shop?

This is a great time to host in-store events, hold contests, or offer special promotions  to engage your current customers, and invite new visitors into your shop, too!

Here are some ideas to try:
  • Offer classes geared towards beginners to bring in new customers - the goal is to create some new knitters this month!
  • Ask your existing customers to bring in a friend who's interested in learning how to knit or crochet.
  • Offer a knitting/crochet clinic where customers can get help with projects.
  • Offer small kits for cross stitch, embroidery, latch hooking, punch needle, or other needlearts-related crafts your customers may wish to try.
  • Host a photo contest on social media inviting your fans to share projects from new crafts they are trying in March!
  • Throw a UFO party encouraging customers to bring in those UnFinished Objects to frog or finish! You can even offer prizes for the oldest UFO, most yardage frogged, or the most UFO's finished during the event.
  • Start a craft-along in your shop - keep reading for details on this year's first charity craft-along we'll be launching in March!
