YOUR WEEKLY NEWS & UPDATES
The month of March brings hope for an end to what is seemingly an endless winter. March also kicks off Washington Wine Month ! “Washington Wine Month is a time to commemorate the hard work of Washington’s more than 750 wineries and 350 wine grape growers,” said Steve Warner, who took over as head of the Washington State Wine Commission almost a year ago. “Our state’s wine is enjoyed across the country, but it’s the enthusiasm of retailers, restaurants and hotels to promote Washington wine that always makes this month shine.” North Loop Wine & Spirits is joining the fray of supporters to make this movement a success and bring awareness to the quality wines that Washington has to offer. Come in and discover something new! The center of our store has an entire display dedicated to Washington State Wines.

***Plus, we are having a SALE on WA WINES . Receive 20% off your purchase of 2+ bottles of Wine from Washington during the month of MARCH.

Doug's Wine Review :
Seven Terraces, Sauvignon Blanc, 2017- $14.99
This New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc hails from the Awatare subregion of the Marlborough valley. It has a distinctive minerality which differentiates it from the other, more grapefruity Sauvignon Blancs from the Island. Make no mistake, this is still a fresh, bright, and high acid white but the touch of spice and stone to the tropical fruit flavors makes it a stand-out on our New Zealand Sauv Blanc shelf.
Patrick's Wine Review :
Dom. Paterianakis, 'Melissokipos' Assyrtiko, Crete, 2016 - $15.99
Make a wise and affordable purchase to drink like a Greek god on Crete with this stunner. Dry and minerally, this certified organic Assyrtiko belies its Aegean island location and is a perfect match with calamari served with a spicy aioli. Yamas!
David's Wine Review :
Lionel Faury Saint Joseph 2014 - $29.99
One of the qualities I look for in wine is typicity. While it's always fun to taste off the wall styles and things that cut against the grain it's always nice to have access to wines that taste exactly as they should. The meaty and herbaceous style of this Syrah really couldn't be anything else. It is that distinct. So, if your a fan of the style, this would be a good one to stock up on. If you're new to French Syrah this is a perfect way to find out if it's the style for you.
