A Message from the Executive Director
After a cold and icy winter, I’m happy to welcome Spring! The warmth and colors of Spring seem to bring with them feelings of positivity and possibility. And I can say the same about you, Uplift’s wonderful supporters. Thanks to your belief in our work and mission, Uplift’s programs are reaching more members of our community than ever before.

I’m thrilled to share that in February, Uplift’s Family Services grief groups served 150 children and 85 caregivers across four Philadelphia sites. In-School grief groups were held for 404 children and Post-Crisis Support programs were offered to 6 communities in need. Finally, 92 professionals were trained in working with grieving children.
 
Uplift’s compassionate and caring programs couldn’t happen without you, and on behalf of the entire team, I say thank you. Thank you for caring about Philadelphia’s grieving children and families and thank you for ensuring Uplift is there to serve them.

Phillies Swag Bag Drawing!
Spring is in the air and we have just one more week until Opening Day!

Follow us on Facebook and look for our Phillies Swag Bag postings every Monday through March 27th. Like and tag a friend on the post to introduce them to Uplift’s work and you’ll get one entry into the raffle drawing. In addition, every $10 donation to Uplift gets you three entries! (Ex: $30 donation = 9 entries). Donations can be made through our website any time through March 27th.

We’ll pull two winners' names at random on Opening Day, March 28th! Good luck and go Phils!
Uplifting the Arts!
Uplift Center for Grieving Children is being awarded a 2019 Art & Culture Grant! Funding will support Uplift's creative programming for grieving children and families, including our summer drumming camp, The Percussion Studio. We're excited to be recipients of this grant and are thrilled to provide artistic outlets and connections for those we serve. Thank you to the Philadelphia Cultural Alliance for supporting Uplift and the arts!
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
Eagles pride is real - on and off the field. Last week, Uplift staff participated in another fantastic Eagles Care Summit and our team is still reeling!

From amazing guests speakers to intimate conversations around nonprofit structures to stepping out onto Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles Care Summit was a well-rounded and well-received event rooted in community.

Nonprofit organizations from all over the city participated in this enriching day of networking and learning. It was a reminder that the Eagles care deeply about their home city of Philadelphia and recognize the importance of sharing knowledge and space to better serve the community at large. Our gratitude to the team behind the scenes and everyone who made this event possible!
