Engaging students with an HP Learning Studio

HP Learning Studios leverages powerful technology, where students engage in activities and projects that expose them to skills and strategies such as design thinking, engineering, and digital communication. As part of HP and Microsoft's Reinvent the Classroom initiative, Digital Promise Global is directing a network of Learning Studios designed for student-centered, experiential learning. The HP Learning Studios are currently in place in over 70 schools across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. To support educators in the HP Learning Studio program, Digital Promise Global provides professional learning opportunities; facilitates an online learning community, develops, curates, creative learning activities and projects for students.

HP Learning Studios are designed to engage students in powerful learning experiences. A visitor to a Learning Studio will observe:
  • Engaged learning;
  • Student ownership;
  • Students who understand the value of taking on another perspective;
  • An understanding of systems and products could be designed differently;
  • Students taking action to improve their local and global communities.
Are you ready to learn more?  The Learning Studios Research White Paper  illuminates key findings about this unique global network focused on learning design thinking and invention skills, and connecting across continents to design solutions to global challenges.
