Engineers and scientists are teaming up to help you enhance your skateboarding experience using STEAM-related concepts. Math, science and creativity converge in this special 52 Weeks of Science workshop where you can design and assemble your own skateboard. The workshop concludes with an open skate clinic, so BYOB (Bring Your Own Board) and safety gear and try skateboards made from different materials.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering. The nine-day festival that celebrates all things science kicks off on March 3 with EXPO Day at PETCO Park! More than 60 programs and events will take place throughout the county over the course of the week. The Fleet is participating with an all-female Two Scientists Walk Into a BarTM and more.
