Audubon Society of the Everglades invites TAS to join them for an afternoon tour of Stormwater Treatment Area-2 in Palm Beach County. We'll explore Stormwater Treatment Area-3/4, including Campbell Day Use Area, prior to the STA-2 tour. This trip is limited to 30 participants and reservations are required. No fee. South Broward Birding: Markham Park

John Hutchison
will lead this full-day carpool trip to birding locations in southern Broward County. Meet at 8:00 AM at Markham Park's Meadow Nature Trail. From I-75, exit at Royal Palm Parkway (Exit 15). Drive west 0.5 miles to Weston Road. Turn right and drive west 2.8 miles to the park entrance. From I-595, exit at 136 Street (Exit 1A) and drive west 2.0 miles on SR 84 (I-595 service road) to the park entrance. Turn left after the entrance station (fee) to reach the nature trail parking area, opposite the dog park. Bring lunch.
Spring Wildflower Walk with Roger Hammer: Everglades National Park- Coe
Sunday, March 20; 8-11:30am
Well known South Florida plant expert, Roger Hammer, will lead this walk down the Long Pine Key Nature Trail in Everglades National Park. Meet at the Ernest Coe Visitor Center in Everglades National Park at 8am. There is an entrance fee to the park. Reservations and fee required: $40 members/$45 nonmembers includes an autographed copy of one of Roger's recent books: Everglades Wildflowers, Florida Keys Wildflowers or Everglades National Park and the Surrounding Area (your choice). "SMartists" present their exceptional works in an exhibit titled "Birds of a Feather." Join Art Teacher Deana Conley and her talented "SMartists" for this opening night reception, which signals the 2015-16 Art Nite season finale. The avian-inspired exhibit will hang through March in our National Register of Historic Places and Miami-Dade County Landmark cottage. Art Nite also features our Donation Bird Bar!

Park for free on our Steinberg Nature Center grounds via our 55th Avenue entry gate and use TAS as your ArtWalk home base for a gallery-hopping stroll into town. (ArtWalk will resume in October.)
