Future 5 Named Honoree of St. Patricks Day Parade!

This year, Future 5 was honored and grateful to be selected as the official honoree of the Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Parade! From students to volunteers to our incredible community, we marched together—celebrating not just tradition, but the strength of community and opportunity. Every step we take reinforces our mission: empowering students to build bright futures through mentorship, college prep, and career guidance. With 98% of our high school graduates "landing with a plan" over the last 15 years, we are proving that when we are in step as a team, we see the many benefits that result from the Power of Connection. Thank you to all of the amazing community organizations in Stamford who made this special day possible!

Academic Support: Tackling Tough Challenges Head On!

At Future 5, Homework Help isn’t just about tackling tough assignments—it’s about building confidence, staying on track, and achieving success over the long term. Whether it’s preparing for a big test or getting through some difficult math problems, our dedicated tutors provide one-on-one guidance each step of the way. With 371 hours of academic support provided last year, our high school and college student members know where to go to get the help they need!

Getting the Inside Edge at Mount Southington

Future 5 students swapped classrooms for the slopes and took on Mount Southington during our annual ski trip—many for the first time ever! Students stepped out of their comfort zones, faced their fears, and turned wobbly starts into confident glides. At Future 5, we believe that new experiences fuel growth—whether it’s college prep, career discovery, or even conquering the slopes! These moments build courage, resilience, and the confidence take on any challenge. A HUGE thank you to 100 Black Men Of Stamford for making this yearly opportunity possible. Together, we’re empowering students—one adventure at a time!

Learning an Elevator Pitch with Corporate Partner Gen Re

We were thrilled to be hosted by José González, VP, DEI Officer and Angel Villa, Facilities Manager at Gen Re on a recent visit to give Next Level (formerly Job Prep) participants the chance to experience what goes on behind the scenes in a corporate setting. We had a tour of the Gen Re offices, and the opportunity to spend time in their beautiful boardroom, where they hosted a workshop on developing an Elevator Pitch. Our student members were very engaged and excited by the visit. Thank you Gen Re!

Future 5 helps connect motivated, under-resourced students in Stamford to the people and resources they need to achieve their educational, career and life goals.
