Women. Leaders. Entrepreneurs. Philanthropists.

Foster Care.

March is Women's History Month and what better way to celebrate than to acknowledge the wonderful accomplishments of these women. All of the above, with the exception of Eliza Hamilton, grew up in the foster care system. Eliza is said to have provided care and support for over 700 children through the orphanage she helped found.

Unfortunately, foster care comes with a stigma. A stigma we are hoping to end and change the narrative to, by helping these children receive all the support they can from the village in which they live. Our goals are to help normalize, support, destigmatize and provide tools for success for all the children we serve.

Every child in foster care has a very unique story. Some are tragic, some are beautiful. However, it is our job to support each and every one of the children, to help them become as successful as the ladies above. Because of people like you, the village, these women were able to become strong, hard working and talented women, and start to change the narrative of children in the foster care system.

What is your story? What is your role in the village of helping the children we serve thrive and become their own heroes and success stories? Let's keep working together to support the children we serve.

Forever connecting hearts,

Chris Siemens
Executive Director
Right now, there are more than 7,000 children in foster care. All of them deserving of love, hope and basic necessities. We can make that happen if we work as a team.

Join us on May 7th for our annual Treasures of Tulsa scavenger hunt! This year will be bigger and better than ever.

Here is your FIRST clue-- your first stop is along Route 66.
Ginarie Harrington is the Vice President of Programs for Circle of Care. She has more than 15 years of experience serving our children in Oklahoma. Her experience spans from mental health, medical social work, residential treatment and child welfare work.
Ginarie is also a foster parent. As a foster parent, she says she is passionate about helping biological parents find success when they have lost custody of their children to DHS. She is a lifelong Okie, having earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work at Northeastern State University and her Master of Social Work at The University of Oklahoma.
Jordan Lusnak is a Tulsa native and a proud Kansas Jayhawk! She works for ONE Gas in Human Resources. Jordan is a CPA, PHR and has an MBA from Oklahoma State (Go Pokes). Jordan always knew she wanted to be a foster parent and that dream finally became a reality in 2021, with the support of family, friends, and resources like Fostering Connections.
Jordan is an avid tennis player, lover of an oversized black lab and enjoys cooking up new spicy recipes!

Meet: Phoenix

I want you to introduce you to our friend, Phoenix.

Phoenix is a bright, beautiful, hilarious little girl.
Her foster family utilizes our Resource Center every month. But this month was different; this month she brought US a gift: a check.

Phoenix was adopted!!

She and her family donated the stipend they typically receive from foster care and gave it to us. They were incredibly grateful for our work and our resources.

We could not provide the support we offer to families, like Phoenix's, without all of you.

We are extremely grateful.
Have you seen our mobile unit around town?
Mobile Connections travels to Okmulgee, Osage/Pawnee, Wagoner/Muskogee, Rogers Creek counties every month. We are working to provide resources to even more children.
