Who HomeAid Helps
Since 2001, HomeAid Atlanta has collected nearly two million diapers and baby wipes, distributing them to organizations serving families with infants and toddlers at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

“HomeAid’s donation of diapers and wipes has been critical for the many moms that we serve. We partner with a school for children experiencing homelessness, and many of the mothers have younger children in diapers. Most live in shelters or hotels and have little access to these resources. Those with income have difficulty covering all their expenses, so any free essential can mean the difference between choosing to buy diapers or seeing a doctor. Others have no income and often have to leave infants in dirty diapers as long as possible to make them last.” — Crossroads Community Ministries

“We send a sincere thank you for the amazing items donated to DCM as part of the Essentials Drive! Year after year, HomeAid Atlanta and its supporters have continued to surpass our expectations and we consider HomeAid to be one of our greatest allies in the fight to alleviate homelessness in metro Atlanta.” — Decatur Cooperative Ministries
March Care Days
Care Day at Calvary Refuge Center
More than 30 volunteers joined HomeAid Atlanta for a Care Day at Calvary Refuge Center in Forest Park on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 (photo above). We painted both the men’s and women’s emergency shelter dorm rooms with our great volunteers from BOMA Georgia, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and Ameris Bank. Special thanks to North Georgia Exterior Cleaning for coming out the day prior to the Care Day to clean off Calvary’s roof and gutters and pressure wash. Calvary Refuge Center provides a safe, faith-based environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Care Day at Gwinnett Housing Corporation
On March 24, volunteers from Lennar joined a HomeAid Care Day to complete demolition on what will become Gwinnett Housing Corporation's Affordable Housing Home Ownership Education Center. Lennar is serving as Builder Captain for this HomeAid remodel project. Gwinnett Housing Corporation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization that was founded for the purpose of developing, rehabilitating, managing, and operating quality affordable residential housing in Gwinnett County.
Pickleball Party with a Purpose
HomeAid Atlanta Pickleball Social
HomeAid supporters had a blast at Atlanta Athletic Club on March 3 at the HomeAid Atlanta Pickleball Social. HomeAid is beyond grateful for the incredible turnout in support of our work to build a future without homelessness. More than 60 pickleballers and more spectators joined the fun. HomeAid National Conference
HomeAid Atlanta hosted the 2023 HomeAid National Leadership Conference! Atlanta staff welcomed representatives from HomeAid's 19 nationwide affiliates in Midtown from February 27 to Thursday, March 2 for a week of learning, networking, and more.
HomeAid Atlanta Executive Director Mandy Crater with Rodney Bullard, The Same House CEO and former Chick-fil-A Foundation Executive Director, who spoke at the National Conference.
Staff from 19 HomeAid affiliates had fun in addition to learning and sharing ideas. On February 28 the group enjoyed a night out at Your Third Spot on Atlanta's west side.
