The flowers are singing the songs of spring, and the weather is showing all the signs of the new season! To keep up the momentum, we'll be marching through March and making the most of the last of the cold.

Other centres are closing down, but Buddings is open all month long, and to make the weeks even more fun, Big Kids Club has two field trips every week!

With everyone back from holidays, and Setareh rounding out the team, we're pleased to announce additional spots available, especially in the mornings. We'll still keep a reserve, for emergencies, but we're getting pretty close to full.

If you're finding spots full, feel free to email Talia about the reserve, but booking a bit further in advance is a great way to make sure you get the hours you need.

One more thought: Extra spots, and extra kids makes the mornings extra fun, but and keeping track of all these kids, AND their various containers is getting hectic. Take a moment to label your dishes to improve the chances of taking them home.

It's time to get going!
Hup, two, three, four!

Big Kids Club: Winter Season Marches On!

Fridays are for Marching!

If you're one of our regular Friday families, you know that it's a very busy day, especially in the afternoons! This month, to replace the one and only, irreplaceable Denet, Talia and Setareh are stepping up - presenting a special month-long parade: Marching Through March!

It kicks off this Friday, with an introduction to the long-eared leader of our band, for a musical march and mad tea party! It ain't the Easter Bunny, but we'll be hop, hop, hopping all the way through the month, and if you want to get in on the high-stepping action, join us every Friday through March, from 1 - 4pm.

... and if you are keen to join us, booking into Fridays a couple of days in advance is a great way to make sure you get your spots. It's a very busy day... :)

Name that Water Bottle!

So many kids! Wow! When the cubbies are full of cups and containers, we know there's going to be a snacking bonanza, and making sure kids find their food, when they're hungry, is part of keeping a happy daycare.

To make sure the right snacks go to, and almost as importantly, get taken home by the right kids, a little labelling goes a long way.

Quite a few companies have created waterproof, dishwasher- and microwave-safe labels for children's containers. Emily Press Labels, from Vancouver BC, promises that labelling your dishes will alleviate stress!

That may or may not be true for your family, but our overloaded lost and found table is bearing the weight of the un-labelled items. Take two seconds to sharpie your child's name on his or her waterbottle and snack box, or check out Emily Press, or Sticky Monkey for a fancy sticker. And have a browse of the table next time you're in! Your unlabelled waterbottle is waiting for you!
