Spice up your next taco night with this light margarita recipe that is wonderfully refreshing—and we’ve included a salted rim. Our twist: We’ve mixed freshly grated lime zest with the salt for a punch of citrus flavor with every sip. It makes for a lovely presentation, but it is not essential. To be on the safe side, plan to buy nine limes for this recipe as each one yields about a tablespoon of juice. Chilled seltzer water gives the drinks a bit of sparkle to make them even more refreshing. If you’re prepping these ahead, add the seltzer just before serving.
Meal Items
  • ½ tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 1 fresh lime, 1 wedge and 6 slices
  • 8 fl oz, seltzer (1 cup)
  • ⅔ cup Tequila
  • ½ cup fresh lime juice
  • 6 tbsp orange-flavored liqueur
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions
  1. Mix together salt and lime zest on a small plate. Rub rims of 6 glasses with a lime wedge and dip rims in salt mixture.
  2. Combine seltzer, tequila, lime juice, and liqueur in a small pitcher.
  3. Fill glasses with ice. Top evenly with margarita mixture. Serve with lime slices.
  4. Serving Size: 1/2 cup (without ice)!
