Margate To Conduct

Smoke Testing on Sewer Manholes

The City of Margate is currently rehabilitating its sewer manholes, and the next step is conducting smoke testing in the sewers.


Smoke testing is an underground method to identify sewer pipes and sewage system deficiencies. This type of testing is particularly essential after heavy rainfall to pinpoint sources of water infiltration, such as faulty connections, stormwater drainage systems, roof downspouts, slab drains, and yard drains.
