12 MAY 2017 | XPLORE FOR SUCCESS | DRIVING EQUALITY AND INCLUSION SINCE 2002
Mariam Veiszadeh will speak before an audience of 5,000 people at TEDxSydney on Friday, 16 June 2017.

Dear  ,

I'm excited to announce that lawyer, diversity and inclusion practitioner, advocate, social commentator,  and dear friend of Xplore Mariam Veiszadeh, will join an impressive line-up of speakers and performers  at   TEDxSydney 2017 on Friday, 16 June at  ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour.

Mariam was one of 18 contributors to my latest book, Inclusionary Leadership: Wisdom from 18 Australian leaders on what it takes to create and support a diverse and inclusive workplace, and if you attended the Sydney launch of the book you will have been inspired by her fearless passion for championing the rights of minority groups. Mariam shared many insights, but w hen asked what she'd do if she had a magic wand, she said:  "For all adults to retain the innocence they have as children, because no one is born a racist, no one is born a homophobe, no one is born an Islamophobe or a xenophobe."

Catch the video highlights of the launch event below - there are nine short videos in total - and if you're yet to pick up a copy of Inclusionary Leadership, you can do that here.

It's exciting that Mariam has the opportunity to reach such a large audience with her important messages, and I very much look forward to seeing her speak at TEDxSydney on Friday, 16 June. You can register for that here.

Warm regards,
Diana Ryall AM
