RF Demeter Finishes Runner-Up in CIC3*

Frederick, MD, USA. September 9, 2013

Marilyn Little won the Breda CIC2* in The Netherlands this weekend riding Team Tabasco's 13 year old Trakhener gelding RF Tabasco (Heraldik xx - Titania III x Heling) by finishing on their dressage score of 38.8.  Recently purchased by Suzanne Lacy, Betsy Smith, Maggi Buterbaugh and Kate Conover from Germany's Ingrid Klimke,  RF Tabasco was coming off a third place finish at the Blair Castle CCI2* and has already established a winning partnership with Little.

In the Breda CIC3* Raylyn Farms & Team Demeter's 11 year old Oldenburg mare RF Demeter (Rubin-Royal - Patricia x Kanudos XX) finished runner-up on their dressage score of 49.3.  "Demi" has also had a strong start to the fall season following her 5th place finish in the Blair Castle CIC3*.

"We had a fantastic week of eventing at Breda," said Little. "The partnership with Tabasco is developing by the day, and it continues to be a pleasure to get to know him. He is probably one of the smartest horses I have worked with, not to mention one of the most talented. We came into the weekend feeling ready and prepared, and he put in three fantastic phases this weekend.

"Demeter is in top form. She has become a cross county flying machine! The courses she has contested this summer at Luhmuhlen (GER), Blair Castle (GBR) and Breda (NED) have each produced only a few double clear rounds, yet in each one Demi is in the clubhouse clean and easily within time. I am proud of the partner she has become out there; she delivers a serious performance each time she leaves the start box."

Also this weekend at Outdoor Brabant, Little secured placings with Raylyn Farms' team of jumpers including a notable 6th place finish for Raylyn Farms & Signature Farm -Wendy Artz' Cantacorda in the Derby. This combination had earlier finished third in the ZZ Geemente Bred Prijs Derby Qualifier.  RF Clearwater also secured fourth place in the BJ De Stern Prijs from 56 starters.

"Breda (Outdoor Brabant) is an incredible opportunity for our team, because the eventers and jumpers can compete alongside one another throughout the weekend. In the jumper ring, Cantacorda stepped into the Open classes in serious fashion, contested her first Derby and captured top placings each day. She is as careful and powerful as they come," added Little.
