Hello to everyone,
I hope you all are safe and healthy! High school facilities remain closed as of Friday, 6/26. If they do reopen, I will gauge interest in having group sessions with limited numbers. It would most likely be a register in advance for sessions on a first come first serve basis, with groups needing to remain the same for several weeks. More details as information and events evolve. It has been great to see some of you during Zoom sessions the last couple weeks and those I have seen for private sessions.
Again, I cannot say it enough...a special thanks to those who have participated in private sessions the last few months, you have been a monumentally important pillar of support for the club during these difficult times.
It would be awesome to see some of you at a Zoom whom we haven't seen for a while. It is a fast paced and energetic 30 minutes. I will be holding the next Waves Group Zoom Session this Tuesday, 6/30 from 4:45-5:15 p.m. It is complementary for all registered members, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text me @ (415) 272-1225 between 4:35-4:45 p.m. Tuesday with your full name to receive the password. It can be done inside or outside. Private sessions, email sessions, and Zoom/FaceTime sessions are all great options until group sessions can begin again. I have done a few Zoom privates and they have worked out great! Email me if you would like to reserve one. It is a great way to keep your skills up to date! Do your best to stay fit and healthy, ready for when competitions are allowed again. Reminder: there is a new Waves uniform and they are available now in the club store, along with other new items. Please feel free to contact me at any time to say hello, ask questions, or get updates! Best wishes to you all!
Marin Waves priority is the health of each member. Here are recommendations of the CDC for prevention of the spread of respiratory diseases (Flu, COVID-19)
- Stay home when you are sick
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
- Use the crook of your elbow to cover your cough or sneeze if no tissue is available
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- If soap and water is not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
**Due to COVID-19 & recommendations by the CDC & the Marin County Health Department to limit group size and exposure, the start of the group summer season 2020 (group sessions) is postponed until the lockdown is lifted.
Any winter packages will be able to be used for the entire season when group sessions resume or 11 weeks total (Spring 2020 length) from the start of that season.
All Fall Session 2 2019 packages have now expired**
