Hello Marina Families,

What a busy week! We are looking at a busy next two weeks as well!

We will begin all kinds of holiday activities next week, starting with Holiday Doors on Wednesday. Come by the school next week and see all the creative talent here at Marina!
We will end next week with a band & choir assembly performance on Thursday, Dec 12 at 6 p.m. The orchestra performance will be the following week on Thursday, Dec 19 at 6 p.m.
We are enjoying all of our Christmas trees in the backyard that are like our very own forest!
The end of the semester, Dec 20, is approaching! Grades should be available by the end of Winter Break.
I hope this weekend brings you all great family timeā€¦.

Students Preparing for the Future!
Thanks to our teachers, staff, and awesome volunteers, Marina Students have had the chance to explore different careers and skills both at school and around the city. Check out whats been going on below!
Art Field Trip

Students in Ms. Nina's art class explored the SFMoMa two weeks ago as part of an interactive field trip! They were able to experience modern art and bring those ideas back to school to use on their own projects!
Volunteers from Huntsman Architectural Group came by this week to teach students how to use tools to make art!
Activities at the Marina Branch Library!

The Marina Branch Library is always creating opportunities for students to learn and get involved. Join them on December 12th for a bead keychain making workshop!

Scholastic Book-Fair!
Our Scholastic Book-Fair is Starts on December 12th and Ends on Decemebr 20th, right before winter break. Come by to check out the awesome variety of books and gifts available.
The book fair is open each day before school, during lunch, and after school.

We're also looking for parent volunteers!

Band, Choir, and Orchestra Concerts!
The band and choir concert will be in the auditorium on Thursday, Dec 12th at 6pm.
The Orchestra concert will be the following week on Dec 19th at 6pm. There will be a raffle by the PTSA as well!
