Examples of Student Work
Marina Teachers have been hard at work making your students have the ability to continue learning while at home. Read below to see examples of what teachers have been sending out, and make sure to remind your students to reach out to their teachers with any questions or help they might need.
Ms. Sparks - "I am posting a daily Announcement that has an agenda of what they should be working on that day. There is a Question of the Day as their Do Now, and then a content specific assignment, and then a short news segment on YouTube to watch (using my History class as an example). The content is a little different for my English and ELD classes, but I intend to be consistent with the Agenda Announcement with a note from me and 3 tasks for the day."

Mr. Vong - I try to provide tutorial videos whenever possible. All assignments that students hand in will be counted as extra credit during this pandemic break.

Mr. Ostwald - I have sent a listening assignment with a score of the music that we are working on, even though we haven't work much on the music yet. They have been listening for the different parts of the orchestra that have the main themes or melodies. It's just as important to listen as it is to physically practice the part on an instrument for musicians!!!

Ms. Pedro - In 6th grade, we’re currently finishing research essays that students began last week. Each student researched a famous female from history to write about. We’ll be doing a reflection project next week on independent reading.
San Francisco Community Workers have created this extensive list of resources for students and families.
