Marina Safeway Proposal Raises

Serious Concerns

Take Action Today

The Marina Safeway proposal makes one thing clear - the balance of power has shifted too far. Developers have all the leverage, while neighborhoods are losing their voice. This location has significant health and safety issues due to its history as an industrial site.

We urge City Hall to act. Push back on Sacramento’s overreach, require full environmental, health, and safety review, ensure infrastructure can support this scale, and stand up for residents.

This project proposes 20 and 25 story towers on a liquefaction zone with known toxic conditions. It is wildly out of scale, largely luxury units, and would bring major impacts, including shadows over Fort Mason, strained infrastructure, traffic congestion, and just 197 parking spaces for 790 units.

This is not responsible, affordable housing. It is the result of state laws that limit local control and sideline community input.

San Francisco can build housing without sacrificing safety, livability, and transparency. But only if our leaders are willing to speak up and fight back.
