Dear Marine families, MarineParents.com was founded nationally on January 21, 2003. Throughout our 15 year history we have had the honor of supporting tens of thousands of families. We would like to spend the next couple of weeks taking a look back at our organization in its early years. This week our featured story is a broadcast transcript of an interview with CNN in 2005. Iwo Jima Flag Raising Anniversary This Friday, February 23 marks the anniversary of one of the most iconic moments in Marine Corps history and in all of World War 2--the American flag being raised over Mt. Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima. Click here to learn more.

Featured TMP Participant Paul Neidhardt Team Marine Parents (TMP) is a group of individuals, generally parents, family and friends of Marines, who participate in athletic events nationwide to support our troops. The mission is to raise funds and awareness of the organization's outreach programs . This week's featured TMP participant is Paul Neidhardt. The 43rd Marine Corps Marathon will be Paul's first full marathon.  Click here to read more. Featured Volunteer Dawnn Bonnema Dawnn is a Facebook volunteer and Marine Mom, whose goal is to help others in the Fox Company, San Diego group that have loved ones who have stood on the yellow footprints. Dawnn has two sons, the youngest of which is a Marine. Dawnn believes her decision to become a volunteer at Marine Parents was an easy one as she was raised to give back to others. What's After Boot: Marine Combat Training Marine Combat Training (MCT) is located at the School of Infantry (SOI) at Camp Pendleton, California and Camp Geiger, North Carolina. MCT is a basic infantry training condensed into 29 days. MCT is for Marines whose MOS is not infantry (03xx). Click here to learn more about Marine Combat Training
