Read Aloud Book Club
Monday, July 13, 2-3 p.m.
Live on Zoom

Join us for a book club where you don't need to read the book beforehand!
At each virtual meeting of the Read Aloud Book Club, we will listen to a book and then discuss what we heard. The book club will meet once a week for four weeks. For grades 2-4.

We will be reading  Cog by Greg Van Eekhout - Wall-E meets The Wild Robot in this instant classic about five robots on a mission to rescue their inventor from the corporation that controls them all.

Are you signed up for our Summer Reading Challenge? This book club can be counted for your reading minutes!

Can't make it to all of the meetings, or miss one on accident? We will do a summary at the beginning of every session.  The book is also available as an eBook on hoopla.

Select films will be screened for a virtual audience, judged by an expert panel of content creators, and may win a cash prize. Anti-Racism Resources for Kids, Tweens, Teens and Adults

Explore resources available through the library such as books, eBooks, films, articles and more on the topic of anti-racism.

Our staff have put together these lists for all ages looking to better understand current events and the history of racism in the United States. We hope these materials serve as a starting point for important conversations about race and social justice with family, friends and your community.

On this page, you'll also find resources around the web that AHML librarians have collected such as podcasts, websites and guides. Learn more at  ahml.info/antiracism.

You can also join Miss Rebecca during our Embrace Race Read Aloud with stories and songs for little ones to help families cope with recent events. This video and other library storytime videos can be found on YouTube.
