8:40-9:15 am: Keynote Speaker - His Excellency Ambassador Tom R. Pickering

Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering is currently the Vice Chairman of Hills and Company. He has had an extraordinary 40-year long career with the U.S. Foreign Service, including ambassadorial posts in six countries on four continents, as well as an ambassadorship position to the United Nations in New York under President George H.W. Bush. Ambassador Pickering led the U.S. effort to build a global coalition in the UN Security Council during and after the first Gulf War. He also served as U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs under President Bill Clinton.
