Scottsdale's Solid Waste Services Program

Meeting

Planning is underway at The City of Scottsdale's Solid Waste Services Department regarding how Villa Monterey residents dispose of trash and recyclables. With the implementation of the program, bags left curbside will no longer be picked up. Wheeled carts or totes, to be provided at no cost by the City, will become mandatory receptacles.

To understand the program and get questions answered, we have invited Gina Azima, City of Scottsdale, Outreach Manager, to meet with VM III residents.

Along with Ms. Azima's presentation, the four different containers that will be used in the program (two different options for recyclables and two different options for trash) will be available for you to view. Each residence will be asked to register their preferences. This survey can be completed at the meeting or via an online survey, which will follow the get-together.

Details of the meeting with Ms. Azima are as follows:

Wednesday, October 1

4:00 p.m.

@ the Ramada

(no RSVP required)

Is it time to do some downsizing and make room in your closets and drawers? If so, are you interested in participating in a community-wide yard sale? If the answer is "yes", you're in luck.

Our neighbors in VM II are planning a yard sale for all residents in their community, and they have invited us to join them. The event will be held on:

Saturday, October 18th

8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Sales will be conducted in each participant's carport.

There is no need to register to participate. Should you have questions, please call VM III Board President Karen Fleming at 309-242-7035.
