Lakeside Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement: The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of developing, promoting, and protecting the commercial, industrial, professional, agricultural, and civic interests of Lakeside and its surrounding area. The Chamber also acts as a clearing house of information, disseminating such information among members of the Chamber and the Lakeside community.

September is here, and with it comes another exciting month of Lakeside events and opportunities to connect, celebrate, and get involved in our community!

Be sure to check out all of the flyers in this week’s newsletter so you don’t miss a single event. There is plenty happening, and we want you to take advantage of everything our Chamber and community have to offer.

Mark your calendars for our Business Matters Mixer on Thursday, September 17th, it’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, build relationships, and strengthen our local business community.

We also have two Ribbon Cutting ceremonies coming up in the next few weeks. These celebrations are a wonderful way to welcome and support local businesses and show them what it means to be part of the Lakeside community. There’s even more to look forward to! We’ll be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Lakeside’s River Park Conservancy, an incredible milestone for an organization that has helped make our community such a special place.

Finally, we have an opportunity for our members to give back and make a difference by getting involved with an initiative supporting the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and our local youth. I encourage you to learn more about this opportunity and consider how you, your business, or your organization can lend a hand.

As we head into September, I hope you’ll join us, get involved, and continue helping us build a stronger, more connected Lakeside business community.

Rise Above

Empowering Youth, Building Stronger Communities

Rise Above is a FREE 8-week mentorship and life-skills program for kids ages 9 to 14 in the Lakeside/Santee area, hosted by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

As part of the program, participants receive graduation goodie bags to celebrate their accomplishments. The program is currently looking for sponsors who are willing to donate items or contribute funds toward purchasing goodies for the bags.

Any level of support is greatly appreciated and directly benefits kids in our community. Your generosity can help make this experience even more meaningful for local youth.
