Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families,

What another joyful and faith-filled week we’ve had at St. Anne! As we near the end of the school year, we are grateful for the many blessings we’ve experienced as a community.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our 8th grade graduates! We are incredibly proud of the young men and women they have become—formed in faith, knowledge, and charity, and well-prepared for the next chapter of their academic journey. We are grateful to Father Tommy for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful graduation mass.

A special thank you goes out to our 6th and 7th grade parents for hosting our Recognition Breakfast and celebration for our 8th graders. Your time, effort, and attention to detail created a memorable experience that honored our students and their accomplishments in such a special way.

Another special moment this week was our Candle Passing Mass, where our 8th graders symbolically “passed the torch” to our 7th graders. This beautiful tradition honors the transition of leadership within our school community, as our rising 8th graders step into their new role as student leaders. We are confident they will be lead with faith, knowledge, and charity.

We also celebrate our 2nd grade students, who received their First Holy Communion last weekend. Their reverence and joy were inspiring, and we pray that the grace of this sacrament continues to grow in their hearts.

To make the week even more exciting for our second graders, we were honored to welcome Miss Texas, Carla Carfora, who visited their class to share about farming and agriculture. The students had a wonderful time learning about where our food comes from, the importance of caring for the land, and even got their hands dirty planting seeds alongside her. It was a memorable and engaging experience that brought science and stewardship to life!

We were thrilled to welcome back members of our Class of 2021, now graduating high school seniors. They returned to walk the halls of

St. Anne one more time, greeted by smiles, hugs, and cheers from students and staff. It was such a gift to see how they’ve grown and to celebrate this special milestone with them. Once a Crusader always a Crusader!

This week we also welcomed many new families to our St. Anne Catholic School community during our New Family Social. It was a blessing to meet and connect with those who will soon be part of the St. Anne family. We are especially thankful to Smart Families and our ambassador families for sponsoring this event and helping us extend such a warm and joyful welcome.

As always, thank you for your continued partnership, prayers, and presence. St. Anne Catholic School is a special place because of the vibrant, faith-filled community we share.

Sincerely in Christ,

Kendall Shamas, Ed.D

Principal
