Where to watch Pope Francis'

funeral Mass live

Pope Francis' solemn funeral Mass will be broadcast and livestreamed by multiple media outlets April 26, providing several ways people can watch and participate in the funeral from around the world.

The Mass begins at 10 a.m. local time in Rome, or 3 a.m. CDT, in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican. Giovanni Cardinal Re, dean of the College of Cardinals, will preside over the Mass. Bishops, cardinals and priests from around the world will concelebrate, including Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop Emeritus of Galveston-Houston.

Vatican News will livestream the Mass on its English YouTube channel (y en Español tambien), and OSV News will carry that coverage at OSVNews.com. The Mass will also be livestreamed by The New York Times and other news outlets, and broadcast on many U.S. television networks including ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC. Britain's BBC will also provide live coverage. EWTN will also broadcast the funeral Mass live, with coverage beginning at 2 a.m. CDT.

The Catholic Channel (Channel 129) on SiriusXM radio will also broadcast the Mass, beginning at 3 a.m. CDT., with Father Dave Dwyer and Lino Rulli providing on-location coverage. Relevant Radio will also begin live coverage of the Mass at the same time. Both stations will rebroadcast the Mass later in the day. Other Catholic radio stations are also expected to carry live broadcasts of the Mass.

Pope Francis died Easter Monday, April 21, at age 88. His funeral is expected to draw world leaders and dignitaries, including President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, a Catholic. Following the funeral, Pope Francis is expected to be interred at a simple tomb in the Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome, per his wishes.

The final rituals of the funeral Mass mark the beginning of the "Novendiales," nine days of mourning and that include Masses for the repose of Pope Francis' soul.

Crusader Ambassador 2025-2026

As many of you know one of our many programs we offer here at St. Anne, is our student and family ambassador program. It is a wonderful initiative to help new students and families transition smoothly into the school community. Having peer support from both student ambassadors and parent ambassadors can make a big difference in helping newcomers feel welcomed, oriented, and integrated.

If you or your student would like to be an ambassador or you have any questions, please let me know. We are extremely grateful for your support to this program.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS

Planning for the upcoming school year is underway. The finalized 2025–2026 academic calendar is available here.

We are also continuing to accept applications for all grade levels for the 2025–2026 school year.

Please help us spread the word about the wonderful opportunities available at St. Anne Catholic School.

We kindly ask for your continued support in ensuring the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please keep the following in mind:

  • School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. are considered tardy and must be signed in by a parent at the front office.
  • Afternoon carline: Please refrain from lining up on campus before 3:00 p.m. We only have one way in and one way out of the campus.
  • Early dismissals: Students must be checked out no later than 3:00 p.m.
  • Carline courtesy: Please pull forward as closely as possible to the vehicle in front of you.
  • Traffic flow: Only enter through the designated entrance; do not use the exit for entry.
  • Parking: Kindly avoid parking in the four designated spots in front of the church office.

Thank you for your support with this.

ABSENCES

Parents are required to contact the school office at clinic@sacst.org to confirm a student absence - a voicemail message is acceptable notice. Please call the school office at 281-351-0093 ext. 107. Parents/guardians of students marked absent without notification will be called by the Office to confirm the absence.

Reminder: All early checkouts must be done prior to 3:00 pm. Early dismissal of students is discouraged and should be kept to a minimum as instruction continues until 3:27 p.m. for all students. If you need to pick up your child early, you MUST pick him/her up in the school office no later than 3:00 p.m. Please allow 15 minutes to pick up your student.

IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE REMINDER!

Thank you for getting your students to school on time.

The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and all students should be in their classroom at that time. Morning carline ends when the gates are closed. Students arriving after the gates are closed will need to be signed in at the office by their parents. Thank you for getting your students to school on time.

If your student is absent, please remember to email the clinic@sacst.org by 8:30am to let us know of your child's absence.
