We are extending our new line of special playing opportunities by introducing a Closest to the Pin Challenge that will be held on the evening of September 4th, hosted by the ‘BagBros,' who you know as Coach Nick and Coach Ryan.
Participants will be split into a girls division and boys division, all age groups competing from staggered tees (older participants will play from further tees). Each golfer gets 5 shots to get as close to the hole as possible. After all participants have hit their shots, the individuals with the closest proximity will win a gift card to PGA TOUR Superstore!
Registration for the event opens Thursday, August 6th, look for it when registering for class. For more details, please email Coach Nick.

Join us at F.M. Law Park for a Community Day with City Council Member Joaquin Martinez.
This free event is open to everyone (regardless of golf skill) so bring the whole family, from grandparents to toddlers, for a fun morning of golf activities, lunch, and tours of the AT&T Connected Learning Center.
It’s a great opportunity to experience how First Tee uses golf to build character, confidence, and healthy habits for kids and teens of all ages.

More than just a tournament, this event unites our community in support of First Tee’s $6 million capital campaign for our facility and course at F.M. Law Park. Together, we’re building a space where young people can develop their game, strengthen their character, and discover the life-changing power of golf.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Coach Maya as she transitions from her role as Program Director. Maya has been an invaluable part of First Tee Greater Houston, serving in multiple capacities over the years as a volunteer Coach, Program Coordinator, and Program Director.
Her energy, creativity, and genuine connection with First Tee - Greater Houston families have left a lasting impression, and she has been a steadfast cheerleader for our participants throughout her time with us. Maya also shared her creative talents across our programs, and we are especially grateful for the beautifully designed and informative bulletin boards at Memorial Park, F.M. Law Park, and Gus Wortham Golf Course. Make sure to take a look the next time you're there!
Although Coach Maya is transitioning away as a full-time team member, she will continue supporting several initiatives with FTGH such as our Tournament Series and our Girls Golf Program. We are grateful for her dedication and the positive impact she has made, and we wish her continued success in all that comes next.
