The Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) supports Ontario’s 3.3 million family caregivers who provide physical and/or mental health support to a family member, partner, friend or neighbour.

Now, as we all face the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, we’re here to help caregivers access the information and support they need.

The following upcoming virtual webinars are free of charge
Webinar: Welcoming Families Back: What to Expect and Tools for Success
Date: July 9, 2020
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Zoom (Hyperlink to be provided during registration)

COVID-19 has been a particularly challenging time for family caregivers who have not been able to provide care and support to those living in long-term care homes (LTCH). Family Councils of Ontario and the Ontario Caregiver Organization are working together to support family caregivers and long term care homes with information on what to expect as access restrictions ease.

In this joint presentation, participants will learn to balance safety and infection risk. The latest Ministry of Long Term Care guideline will be presented, as well as resources and tools to help with this balanced approach. Scenarios will be used to illustrate the phased guidelines and the application of the tools. Additional supports for caregivers will be highlighted.

This webinar will include speakers from the Family Councils of Ontario and the Ontario Caregiver Organization.
