An evening of whiskey and wine tastings with passed hors d'oeuvres includes discussion, interaction with networking on the side. This non-traditional fundraiser has NO raffles, NO 50/50, NO auction. Food for Thought: Illinois Secure Choice

Friday, November 11, 11:30 a.m-1 p.m., Bolingbrook Community Center, 201 Canterbury Lane, Suite B, Bolingbrook. Illinois Secure Choice is the state mandated retirement plan that requires Illinois employers (with 25 or more employees and in business for two years) that currently do not offer a retirement plan to enroll. This November the employee threshold lowers to 15; and in 2023 the threshold lowers to five with penalties and fines for non-compliance. Specifics of the retirement program and how it affects your business will be presented by BACC Board Chairman Billy Hearth, of Edward Jones Investments, with an opportunity for questions and answers. To develop an open forum roundtable discussion for small business owners covering a variety of topics faced by your business each day. As small business owners you will provide this resource to each other by sharing common obstacles, best practices and resources.
