Clarigent Health wins VentureOhio Seed Stage Company of the Year
Congratulations to Don Wright + team at Clarigent Health , VentureOhio's 2019 Seed Stage Company of the Year. The company is building an AI-based platform to help mental health professionals identify early signs of suicidality and crisis. Clarigent is a spinout of Cincinnati Children's Hospital, formed in partnership with CincyTech, while Wright was an EIR.

Kudos also to 11 portfolio companies named to VentureOhio 's 2019 Watchlist : Abre, Blue Water Vaccines, ConnXus, Enable Injections, Genetesis, IncludeHealth, Losant, NaviStone, ReadySet Surgical , STACK Construction Technologies and Xact Medical.

Astronomer closes $5.7m financing led by CA's Sierra Ventures

Astronomer , the leading provider of managed Apache Airflow services, closed a capital round led by west coast VC Sierra Ventures , with participants including Bain Capital, Refinery Ventures and Grand Ventures. "I love big macro trends and innovative teams, and I found that in Astronomer,” said Sierra Ventures' Tim Guleri.
