NEW: NAR Implicit Bias Training Video for Members & Associations:
As part of its commitment to addressing racial injustice in America, the National Association of Realtors® has begun circulating a new 50-minute implicit bias training video to its members and association staff. Partnering with the New York-based Perception Institute, NAR’s online
draws upon recent research to illustrate how the human brain’s automatic, instant association of stereotypes with particular groups can cause people to treat those who are different from them unfairly. Scientific evidence also suggests these biases persist despite people’s best intentions and often without conscious awareness
UPDATED: Coronavirus June 2020 Forms Release Quick Summary
As outlined in this week's legal seminar provided by C.A.R., agents will have new forms to work with to better support their business in this unique environment and a standard forms summary chart to be released next week, the week of June 22, 2020.
UPDATED: Ballot Initiative 2020 – C.A.R. has provided our members with a Toolkit to promote "The Family Home Protection & Fairness in Property Tax Act":
As NCAOR Leg Committee and Leadership have relayed throughout the first half of the 2020 year,
C.A.R. is supporting The Family Home Protection and Fairness in Property Tax Act because it provides relief for the state’s housing crisis, protections for homeowners and property tax savings for families, seniors, people with disabilities and victims of natural disasters and wildfires. C.A.R. submitted an unprecedented number of signatures (nearly 1.5 million) in support and on April 22nd, The Family Home Protection and Fairness in Property Tax Act officially qualified for the November 3rd ballot. We are asking for REALTORS review, support and help in educating clients on this legislation
