Market is fairly steady with Peruvian production nearing its end. Mexican supplies are good overall. Sizing is peaking on 48ct and smaller.

BERRIES

Blackberry and Blueberry markets are gaining strength as supplies tighten due to the transition; quality of both are fair to good. Raspberries and Strawberries are steady with fair to good quality. Better supplies should be seen within the next 2-3 weeks once production increases south of the border.

Romaine has fair to good quality with ribbiness, insect damage, twisting, and mildew along with growing demand and light supply. Leaf quality is good with inconsistent sizing, light insect damage, and mildew. Spring Mix quality is good with occasional mildew damage. The transition to Yuma will begin within the next 3-5 weeks.

Cantaloupe, Honeydew and Watermelon are all steady with good quality being seen.

ONIONS

Markets remain steady with good quality. New crop onions are looking very good with no issues being reported.


ORANGES

Market is active with extremely limited supplies of 113ct and 138ct. Quality remains fair with re-greening and soft fruit. Navel crop is expected to start harvesting within the next few weeks.



PEPPERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains fairly steady. Quality has declined to fair to good. Reds and Yellows are in steady production, while Greens are beginning to wind down out of Oxnard. 

PINEAPPLES
