ASPARAGUS

Market remains unchanged. Supplies remain steady out of Peru, however, larger spears are limited. Mexican supplies remain light.  


AVOCADOS QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is gaining strength as supplies tighten with CA having wrapped up. 32ct/36ct/70ct/84ct are limited. Good quality is being seen out of both Mexico and Chile.

BERRIES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Blackberry, Raspberry, Blueberry and Strawberry markets are relatively steady with good quality being seen overall. The transition from CA to Mexico has begun. 

BROCCOLI
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT
Market remains unsettled with fair to good quality. Common defects include hollow core, mechanical damage and discoloration. 

CARROTS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market relatively steady, however, sizing does remain a concern. 

CAULIFLOWER

Market remains unsettled. Quality is good overall with occasional reports of discoloration. 



CELERY

Market is steady with ample supply. Quality remains fair to good. 

CUCUMBERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market remains extremely active. Mexico is struggling with quality and condition due to recent wet weather conditions. 

EGGPLANT
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is fairly steady with strong demand being seen. Quality is fair to good out of CA.


GRAPES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with fair to good quality being seen due to recent wet weather conditions. 


LETTUCE
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets are strengthening amid defects and tightening supplies. Iceberg quality is fair with oversizing, mildew, cracking, and decay. Romaine has fair to good quality with ribbiness, insect damage, twisting, and mildew. Leaf quality is good with inconsistent sizing, light insect damage, and mildew. Spring Mix quality is good with occasional mildew damage. The transition to Yuma will begin within the next 4-6 weeks.

LEMONS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is beginning to settle as demand falls and domestic desert fruit begins to be packed. Quality is fair to good.

LIMES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains relatively steady, with fair quality being reported. Most defects are cosmetic only. Larger sized fruit is limited.

MELONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Cantaloupe, Honeydew and Watermelon are all steady with good quality being seen.

ONIONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets remain steady with good quality. New crop onions are looking very good with no issues being reported.


ORANGES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is active with extremely limited supplies of 113ct and 138ct. Quality remains fair with re-greening and soft fruit. Navel crop is expected to start harvesting within the next few weeks.



PEPPERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains fairly steady. Quality has declined to fair to good. Reds and Yellows are in steady production, while Greens are beginning to wind down out of Oxnard. 

PINEAPPLES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is gaining strength as strikes in Costa Rica complicates logistics. Quality remains good. 


POTATOES

Market remains steady with good supply and quality. 

SQUASH
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is settling as domestic production increases. Mexico has begun harvesting. Quality remains fair to good.
