The biggest story in real estate right now is inflation and interest rates (approaching 7% – Ouch!). This sharp increase in rates has stalled the Central Coast market significantly, with September year-over-year sales numbers down by 25.7% (another Ouch!) according to the California Association of Realtors.

Additionally, we are seeing listings days-on-market stretching from 10+ days to 22 days. Months supply of inventory has increased from 1.9 months in September 2021 to 2.9 months this September 2022.

All that being said, we still see this as a seller’s market and we are optimistic that the market will continue to fluctuate.
