Closing Chatham elevator bids


-Corn, soybean, and wheat futures all closed lower on a low volume trade day ahead of the US Memorial day weekend.Reminder market will be closed Monday.

-CAD and crude trading higher, US indices lower.

-Even though today futures were lower, corn, beans, and wheat all made gains for hte week. July corn up 16 cents for the week, July soybeans up 10.25 cents and July wheat up 17.5 cents.

-Trump did have more tariffs threats, 50% on EU exports starting June 1, and 25% on non-US made iPhones.

-Commitment of traders report this afternoon showed funds adding to their corn short position, weekly net sellers of soybean futures, reducing their long soybean position, and net buyers of wheat, reducing their short position.
