Closing Chatham elevator bids


-Wheat futures closed higher to finish off the week, while corn and soybean futures closed lower.

-For the week, March wheat futures lost 10 cents, March corn futures lost 5 cents, and March soybeans gained 3.5 cents.

-Weekly US export sales report came within expectations for corn, soybeans, and wheat. Corn at 57.23 mil bushels, Soybeans 17.65 mil bu, and wheat 19.57. Very little change to wheat week over week, corn was lower this week vs last, and soybeans were higher. Pace vs last year is higher for all 3, corn up just over 29%, soybeans 12.5%, and wheat just under 12%.

-South American weather forecast shows rain expected in Argentina next week, but Brazil is dry through the start of the week with some rain chances later in the week. US weather will see a warming pattern over the weekend and into next week after a cold week.
