Closing Chatham elevator bids

-Corn and wheat futures both closed mixed today, and soybean futures were lower.

-US weekly ethanol report showed production down lightly (0.6%) from the previous week, and stocks increased by 860k barrels. Stocks were the highest since April 2024.

-It is rumored that China is looking for up to 4 cargoes of US beans off the PNW for Feb/Mar.

-EU model is calling for improved rain chances across 60-70% of Argentina's crop region this weekend. Rainfall totals of 0.5 to 1.50" is possible.

-Funds continue to increase long position in corn, it is estimated they have bought 62,500 contracts over the past 4 days.
