-Today we saw corn futures close lower, Chicago wheat higher, and soybean futures had little change and closed mixed.
-Canadian dollar slipped lower in the overnight session after Trump announced he will be putting a 25% tariff on all products coming into the US from Canada and Mexico. The dollar did bounce off the lows by 1/2 penny in the day trade.
-Yesterdays US export inspection report showed corn inspections at 35.55 mil bu, up slightly from last week's 34.39, current YTD inspections represent 17% of USDA export estimate.
-Soybean inspections were 77.24 mil bu, down from 83 mil last week, current YTD inspections represent 40% of USDA's crop year estimate.
-Wheat inspections were 13.25 mil bu, up from 7.23 the prior week, wheat inspections sit at 48% of USDA's crop year estimate.
-Argentina soybean planting has been reported at 36% complete, and 45% complete for corn, both slightly ahead of the normal pace.
-Brazil weather continues to be ideal for crops, as they have been since late October.
