I hope this message finds you well. Based in Chicago, I have been working while, as so many others are, juggling added roles and responsibilities along the way.
While there are wide timeline variances for businesses to re-open across the country, communication with your customers will be paramount throughout the summer.
Your customers need to know:
- What safety protocols do you have in place?
- Have your services changed?
- What are your hours?
- What is the best way to connect with you with questions?
How to message:
- Keep it BRIEF.
- Don't be afraid to human.
- Ask for what you need.
- Keep your cool.
As I have said before,
don't assume your customers know what you're doing
–that you're open or closed, that you have revised your services or doing something new. People's attention is being pulled in more directions than ever, so make it easy to communicate and work with your business.
