"Celebrate good times, come on! " (Are you singing with me?) I am overjoyed to share that we are celebrating lots of amazing things this month.
First and foremost, a HUGE CURO shout out to Samantha, our Financial Planning Intern. She is officially a 2021 Temple University Graduate, has hit her one-year CURO-versary milestone, AND will be joining our family full time! We are so proud of her and all of her accomplishments, and we can't wait for her to become a permanent member of our team.
Next, I am gushing with pride that my youngest daughter, Abbey, is a Lehigh University Graduate! Hard does not even begin to describe how she has worked for this, all while maintaining four jobs and balancing her personal and family life. Congratulations my princess, you have certainly earned this moment and we are elated and amazed by you every day.
We are also sending a warm (albeit virtual) hug to all of the moms in our CURO community. I hope you enjoyed your day with your families.
Last, but not least, to all of the 2021 graduates, cheers to you! Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, especially through such a tough year.
Wait, one more big celebration this month too: MEMORIAL DAY! Thank you to all the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms here in America.
In other news:
Don't forget that May 22nd, 2021 we will be holding our annual shredding event. Come join us outside of our Langhorne office to securely dispose of your outdated financial and personal documents while enjoying a few snacks and supporting one of our favorite local non-profit organizations, Unite For HER. Please continue reading for items Unite For HER is in need of.
We are officially at the end of Tax Season. Hooray! May 17th is the last day to file your federal taxes and make any payments due without incurring a penalty. If you need to file an extension, please be sure to discuss with your tax professional.
Finally, there is quite a bit of buzz around the proposed American Families Plan. I've linked an article below for you about the potential effects on your taxes, health insurance, and other major life areas. I encourage you to read through this brief fact sheet in the hopes of familiarizing yourself with the potential changes to come. Of course, should you have any questions, we are only a phone call away and happy to help.
Stay well and stay safe. Until next time,
Marianna
