The Virginia Wesleyan community mourns the passing of long time head men's basketball and golf coach, athletic director, and Hall of Famer Donald M. Forsyth, the father of Virginia Wesleyan Athletics.

VWU Announces a Way to "Get in the Game!"
Virginia Wesleyan Athletics is providing fans the opportunity to be involved in the 2021 spring season remotely, as the athletic department has opened up the opportunity for fans to purchase cutouts to be placed at VWU Athletic Facilities throughout the 2021 spring season.

Virginia Wesleyan University Athletic Department Releases 2021 Outdoor Sports Spectator Policy
The Virginia Wesleyan University Athletic Department has composed its Outdoor Sports Spectator Policy for the 2021 season. Out of an abundance of caution and for the continued health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, Virginia Wesleyan University will extend the current policy of not allowing any fan and spectator attendance for all on-campus intercollegiate athletic related activity to include practices, competitions and meetings/events until further notice.  
No. 4 VWU Softball Sweeps No.3 CNU in Non-Conference Double Header
The No. 4 Virginia Wesleyan softball team won both games over the No. 3 Captains of Christopher Newport University on Saturday afternoon at Tom & Betty Broyles Field at TowneBank Park in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 6-0 on the season while the Captains are now 0-2. 
Men's Basketball
Men's Basketball Falls to No.1 R-MC Yellow Jackets
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team fell to the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College 74-58 on Sunday afternoon in Ashland, VA. VWU moves to 3-5 on the season and 3-1 in ODAC competition while RMC moves to 8-0 and 5-0 on the season.

Buzzer Beater by Sabrina Jones Pushes Marlins Past Panthers
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's basketball team defeated the Panthers of Ferrum College 81-79 with a buzzer beater by Sabrina Jones on Saturday afternoon at TowneBank Arena in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 5-6 on the season and 4-4 against ODAC foes while Ferrum moves to 1-9 and 1-8.

Women's Soccer Defeats Roanoke 1-0
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team defeated the Maroons of Roanoke College 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 1-1-0 while the Maroons are 0-1-1.

Men's Soccer Draws Against Guilford in Double OT
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's soccer team ended their match against the Quakers of Guilford College in a 2-2 double overtime tie on Sunday afternoon at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA. The Marlins move to 0-1-1 while the Quakers are 0-0-1.

Marlins Fall 7-2 to CNU in Season Opener; Mitchell Perry Sweeps Captains at 1 Doubles and 2 Singles
The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team took the court for the first time since March 13, 2020 on Sunday at the James River Country Club taking on Tidewater rival Christopher Newport University. Making their debut for the Marlins were freshman Felix Bevc (Frankfurt, Germany) and junior transfer Connor Cummings (Virginia Beach, VA).  
Marlins Drop Two in Doubleheader at Battling Bishops
The Virginia Wesleyan baseball team dropped both games in the doubleheader against the Battling Bishops of N.C. Wesleyan College on Sunday, February 28, in Rocky Mount, NC. The Marlins drop to 0-3 on the season while the Battling Bishops are 6-1.
Women's Lacrosse
Women's Lacrosse Falls in Season Opener at Roanoke
The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team fell in their season opener 19-1 to the Maroons of Roanoke College in Roanoke, VA. The Marlins move to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in ODAC play while the Maroons are 1-0, 1-0.
