Rep. Subramanyam, Senators Warner & Kaine Introduce Bill to Designate Dodona Manor as an NPS Affiliated Area | |
|
We were very pleased to welcome Congressman Suhas Subramanyam to Dodona Manor in February to visit with Marshall Center leadership and learn more about our work and operations. Subramanyam, along with Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, have reintroduced legislation in the new Congress to designate Dodona Manor as an affiliated area under the National Park System (NPS).
The legislation, which passed the Senate but not the House in 2024, does not require any new federal spending. If enacted, it would make available existing NPS resources “to preserve and celebrate General Marshall’s legacy at the site, including technical assistance to support restoration efforts, accessibility improvements, and new programming.”
