New Resource Added!
 U.S. Chamber unveiled its  Reopening Business Digital Resources Center  to equip America's business community with the latest state guidelines, sector-specific guidance, small business advice, and other tools and resources as we look to reopen safely and keep employees and customers healthy and informed.
Now, the resources center also includes a customizable workplace flyer to help you and your members communicate the steps your company is taking to keep them safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19 to employees and customers.

Governor Walz Announces Opening Of Restaurants And Bars To Restricted Outdoor Dining June 1; Salons Opening At 25% Same Date
 
Restaurants and bars are able to be open for outdoor seating only on June 1.
·      There can be no more than 4 people at a table or 6 from the same family
·      Tables must be 6 feet apart following social distancing guidelines
·      Reservations will be required; no walk-ins allowed
·      Masks will also be required for employees and strongly encouraged for patrons
·      Restaurant can have 50 people maximum at one time in outdoor seating
·      Restaurants are encouraged to check with local government and be creative in making outdoor space available
·      Take-out and delivery options remain
 
Personal care settings such as salons and barber shops can also re-open on June 1 but cannot exceed more than 25% occupancy at a time.
·      25% occupancy is based on the fire code/occupancy permit
·      Masks are required for both employees and patrons in these settings
·      Appointments only; no walk-ins allowed
 
Gatherings rules remain 10 people or less.
 
Campgrounds can open on June 1 with social distancing measures.
 
Individual youth sports and sports that are able to be played with under 10 people are allowed. Sports games not allowed at this time. Daytime summer camps are allowed; overnight summer camps are not allowed at this time.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines and Policies
Newsletter Goals and Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our members' events with other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,800 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.

Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
  • Events flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We do not include sales or promotions.
  • Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge,
and you have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
  • Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's
  • E-Connection to be included to chamber@marshallmn.org
  • All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
