| | MARCHING BAND PICTURE DAY IS THIS WEEK! | |
Marching Band YEARBOOK PICTURE DAY is THIS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12 at 12:30PM (after lunch)!
Students: wear shorts that will fit under your bibbers, and bring your black socks and anything you need to freshen up if you are getting individual photos taken. Seniors will also be photographed in uniform by our wonderful band parent photographer, Lara Fabiano! (Students who do not have band shoes yet need not worry...you will be positioned in the photograph so that your shoes don't show!)
Parents: This is the first time everyone is dressing in uniform, and we will need lots of encouraging helpers to wrangle rookies into their uniforms. If you can give us an hour or less of your time midday, we would be so grateful! Please sign up to help using the Band Camp Lunch & Uniforms Volunteers button below! Thank you.

Returning Marchers: If you have marching shoes already, try them on at home this weekend. If they fit, please bring them ON MONDAY and put them in your red bag. If you need to be fit for new shoes, please come to the dressing room on Monday morning. The group order will be sent in on Wednesday, so if you miss that, you will have to pay for shipping on your own.
New Marchers: When your shoes arrive, you will need to put them in your red bag that hangs with your uniform in the uniform room. Marching shoe fee is $45 and can be paid through My School Bucks (myschoolbucks.com). Click the School Store Payments icon and scroll until you see the Marching Band Shoes icon. Add to your cart and make payment directly. Thank you.

| | BAND CAMP PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES | Parents: Nearly all lunch slots are filled (thank you), but we can still use a few volunteers to assist with PICTURE DAY Uniforms on Wednesday and donate popsicle treats for next week! | |
We had a super successful Uniform Fitting Week all thanks to our amazing volunteers! Jen, Laura, and Melissa would like to thank parents Gayla Baumgardt, Melinda Batman, Karen Growney, Andrea Keller, Elizabeth Jackson, and Michelle Thompson, and students Eleanor Gibbons, Elizabeth Ni, Nathaniel Ni (*graduate*), and Matthew Vives for making this enormous task quick, pleasant, and (almost) done!
Hemming volunteers! We are waiting to hem bibbers until AFTER photo day on Wednesday so that you don’t have to rush. (We won’t need them until late September.) If you are willing to hem a few bibbers (can be hand or machine sewn), please email Laura at lauramhogan@hotmail.com so we can get those to you.

What is Tag Day?
Tag Day is our single largest fundraising event for the Marshall Band and Marshall Colorguard/Winterguard programs! On Tag Day, Marshall band and color guard members go door to door throughout the Marshall area and ask for donations to support our program. If no one answers a door, the students leave a flier (called a Tag) that explains the purpose of the visit, describes how funds are used, and provides instructions for those who are interested in submitting donations online or via mail at a later time. Donations are fully tax-deductible. All money collected goes
directly to the band and guard for repair and replacement of instruments, uniforms, and equipment; instructors for sectionals; special clinics; and competition fees. Participation in TAG DAY is required for band and guard members. And we ask that all parents support this effort through volunteering as drivers or in other roles throughout the day.
