For Those Who Need Help with Rent or Mortgage Payments due to Covid
Please forward this information to anyone you know in need.

If you or someone you know is at risk of losing your home due to Covid-19, the Commonwealth of Virginia has funding available through its Rent and Mortgage Relief Program. (Virginia's eviction moratorium law runs out on December 31st.) This money is only available to people who cannot pay their rent because of the impact of the virus on them, such as losing their job, etc. While the eviction moratorium ends at the end of this month, there is money available in 2021 to help people who can't pay their mortgage - renters and landlords - so the word needs to spread. Also, immigrants that do not have the proper documentation to be in this country are eligible to receive this assistance too. More information can be found through the links below.

Eligibility determination can be found at :

Landlord applications on behalf of tenants can be found at:

Statesmen High Five
Let's recognize our amazing teachers!

Kids bored over the break?  Have them submit a High Five for their teachers!

Marshall students have started a new recognition program for educators at GCM. The High Five program is a chance for students to let teachers know how much they appreciate them. So far, students have recognized GCM teachers for their caring, optimism, and efforts to help everyone succeed. The PTSA is proud to partner with students on this program highlighting the amazing efforts of the faculty and staff. Each month, all teachers who have been nominated for a High Five will be eligible to enter a drawing for a gift card as an extra thank you.

Please consider having your student nominate a teacher, counselor, or staff member today using the form below!
