Teacher Appreciation Week

With the closing of school this spring, the annual PTSA hospitality events for our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week won't be able to happen this year.  Instead, the team has planned to send encouraging messages each day of Teacher Appreciation week to let our wonderful teachers know how much they are loved.   WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE parents and students to email their teachers as well with personal messages of support and thanks.  More than ever, we can agree how talented, versatile and essential our teachers are to our children's lives.  WE APPRECIATE YOU!
Who Will be Marshall's Teacher of the Year??

Q & A With Superintendent Brabrand

Did you know that no other school district in the country has tried synchronous video learning for such a large number of students?

In case you mised it, watch it here: Fairfax County Council of PTAs Question and Answer with Superintendent Brabrand

Fairfax County Public Schools Superintendent Scott S. Brabrand joined Jane Miscavage, president of the Fairfax County Council of PTAs, and Karen Jenkins, vice president of outreach, to answer questions about distance learning and other ways in which education is changing during the COVID-19 pandemic. This 50-minute discussion covers three topics: 1. How did we get here? Understanding the rollout of face-to-face learning and clearing up some misconceptions. 2. What can we expect moving forward? 3. How will FCPS improve consistency and communication? Watch the VIDEO
Deadline Extended to Order Yearbook Online

The GCM yearbook staff is unable to accept orders by cash or check at this time. So we've decided to extend the deadline for ordering a yearbook online.

Please visit the Yearbook Order Center any time from now until June 1 to purchase a copy by credit card. But hurry! We only have about 100 yearbooks left to sell.

As soon as distribution is safe and logistically feasible, we will do what it takes to get this book into students' hands! It may take a little longer than usual for this year's book to be shipped, but the yearbook staff can't wait to show it to the Marshall High School family once they've got it.

Click HERE  to place an online order.

Thank you for supporting our school's student journalism program. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
