Welcome to the Class of 2024
We'd like to welcome parents of the Class of 2024 to Marshall High and to the weekly PTSA news blast! We look forward to getting to know you these next four years. A couple of items for you: In order for the class to have a successful high school experience we need parents who are willing to volunteer their time over the next few years to help with fundraising, activities, prom, homecoming, and graduation. If you are interested in becoming one of the parent liaisons for the Class of 2024 please contact Danielle Schoolcraft at [email protected]. We look forward to working with you! Please complete GCM Digital Consent by October 1
In order to comply with The Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) each parent is required to give FCPS and Marshall High School consent to use certain digital tools that require a student to log in as themselves. Without consent from every parent in each class, our teachers will not be able to use these powerful learning tools after October 1st thus affecting the quality of education we can provide in certain instances.
Therefore, please:
- Go to our website by clicking on this link: https://marshallhs.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources
- Read about the tools we will be using this school year.
- Click on the "Provide Consent" link which can be found in the middle of the page but can also be found here:https://isweb.fcps.edu/iscontacts/techpermform.cfm?secure
- Enter your child's student ID number as well as a parent email address or phone number that we have on file in our SIS systems (the one you use to log into ParentVUE should work)
- Follow the instructions to provide consent for your child to log into, and use, these educational tools.
Once consent is given, it is good for the entire school year.

Urgent Need for Chair, Reflections Art Contest
Are you looking for a way to get involved this year? Marshall PTSA is in urgent need of a volunteer to chair the Reflections Arts Contest! Chair, Reflections Arts Contest - The contest WILL be held this year, albeit virtually! The Chair leads our effort to participate in this national PTA contest. Last year one of our Marshall student winners went on to be a finalist at the county level and win 2nd place at the NOVA district level. It's a fun and great way to showcase the talent of our amazing GCM artists! Click HERE for more information on the Reflections program.

Support the Marshall Market
The cupboards are bare and we can REALLY use your help in stocking the shelves of the Market! We will be distributing 40 bags of food and toiletries every other week starting Sept 14th to our students and families who can use a helping hand. Please consider purchasing an item from our Amazon wish list. It will be mailed directly to the school.
Click HERE to shop or Amazon wish list. If you have questions, please email us at [email protected]. We are so grateful for your support! |

Yearbooks Are Now on Sale! The 2020-2021 school year will certainly be one to remember! Help preserve those memories with a copy of The Columbian, Marshall High School's award-winning yearbook. Even though students will be attending school virtually, the yearbook staff will continue to cover the important moments, activities, classes, sports, and more that take place throughout the GCM community. The student editors have been working throughout the summer to plan this year's coverage and are eager to create another great edition to celebrate and document this significant time for their classmates. We are currently offering an early-bird special. If you order during the month of September, you can get your copy of the yearbook for just $60. That's a savings of $20 off the end-of-year price! Visit www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter order number 4039 to purchase your copy. The price will increase on October 1, so be sure to order today!
